Celtic 0–2 Ross County.

You can talk about the opposition. You can talk about morale. You can talk about luck. The history books, however, will record only that embarrassing scoreline.

Time is up. He has to go.

The lack of fans in the stadium today meant he avoided the indignity of a protest inside the ground, but a quick glance at social media will tell you there’s no way back.

This should have been a gimme. Score four or five and relieve a bit of pressure on the manager.

Of course, he made all the right noises in the build-up about taking today’s opponents seriously, but inside he must have felt his side could run rampant and change the mood around the club.

Instead, today’s debacle has plunged them into a full-blown crisis. It’s surely no longer a case of if, but when.

Any lingering sympathy for a passionate man in a difficult job dissipated with today’s mortifying result.

Only two goals against Neil Lennon’s Celtic side?

Kettlewell must go.
